As of early 2010, the Super Cool Bike Shop has been very proud to carry a full line of Specialized Bicycles.
Specialized is known as an industry innovator. In 1981, Specialized introduced the "Stump" as the first production mountain bike, bringing the flat-bar and knobby tires to the masses. Even today, you can still get the "Stump" as it has evolved into their "Stumpjumper" that is available in all options, from full suspension to hardtail options. In 1989, Specialized introduced the world's first production carbon fiber mountain bike, the Epic.

Men's Mountain Bicycles
Specialized has a full line of Mountain bikes to encompass the needs for your ride!
Crosscountry - With lower suspension travels and tires to grab well, these bikes are designed to get you over lighter trails with ease and speed to win the race!
Trail - These bikes also strike a balance to get you over all the various trails. They aren't quite as "bomb-proof" as a gravity bike, or as little travel as a crosscountry, but they will get you on all trails of all types!
All Mountain - These bikes give you the most versatility. They have a longer travel suspension and stiffness to tackle any style of mountain bike riding.
Gravity - These bikes excel on gravity driven rides. They are the hardiest frames and suspensions to handle large air jumps and all the bumps coming down a mountain, trail or no trail!
Recreational - This group of bikes are made up of you base hardtail mountain bikes. They are meant to handle the basics of getting off road and crosssountry trail riding without breaking the bank
In addition, Specialized carries a number of Women's specific models of their Men's Mountain Bicycle line-up. These models are tuned and have specific features tailored to the differences and needs of a female rider.
Triathalon - These bikes are all about getting you in the most aero position and shaving every second off your rides to get you beating the clock for triathalons and time trial.
Track - If you live at the velodrome or enjoy the simplicity of a single speed drivetrain the Langster is for you. The bike is simple and all about delivering your power immeadiately to get you out and about.
Endurance Road - When you're traveling over uneven payment or long distances these bikes are for you. They feature longer head and toptubes to relax your stance and provide a more comfortable ride, yet retaining all the speed and advantages of a road bike.
CX/All Road - These bikes give you the advantages of a road bike with tires and geometry that will let you get off the pavement and pathes for jaunts into the grass and dirt.
Recreational Road - Featuring flat bars for a more comfortable and upright body position these bikes give you the ease of road going tires and speed for commuting and non-professinal riding.
In addition, Specialized carries a number of Women's specific models of their Men's Road Bicycle line-up. These models are tuned and have specific features tailored to the differences and needs of a female rider.
Specialized makes a number of other bicycles that don't fir under their main road or Mountain catagories.
Crossroads - A bike suitable for Paths and Light Gravel roads. It comes in "Elite", "Sport", and "Low Entry" variations. The Low Entry model has a low standover height which would be suitable for shorter people or those who have difficulty with the movements of mounting a bicycle.
Crosstrail - A Mountain styled bike suitable for light trail riding and cross country.
Ariel - The Women's specific version of the Crosstrail
Expedition - A wider tire version of the Crossroads. It is available in the same variations. The wider tires allow it to handle slightly more rugged terrain than the Crossroads.
Specialized has an assortment of bikes specific for urban riding and stunts/tricks. These bikes are in their "P. Bikes" series.
Specialized Developed their BG FIT (Body Geometry Fit Integration Technology) system with the help of Dr. Andy Pruitt Ed.D., PA of the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine. Fittings via this system are only available at Specialized dealers and Super Cool is the exclusive Specialized dealer in Gainesville!
This system works in three parts:
Pre-interview – Before the fitting you’re interviewed to get your injury history and what your riding history/goals are to guide the fitting to you.
Flexibility Assessment – This portion gets measurements of the flexion and lengths of all your major body parts that contribute to the quality of your fit and ride.
Side View Assesment – From the side your riding position is evaluated to get the most neutral position. It gets your position comfortable, yet powerful, through adjustments to your seat height, handlebar height, stem adjustment and foot positioning.
Front View Assesment – From the front your shoulder hip and knee alignment is checked. This provides you with the most power and consistent power delivery over your pedal srtoke. Shoe placement and you saddle squareness are parts of this step.
Follow-up – a Week later the fitting technician will call you to discuss the fit and any concerns you may have. If there is any need for changes you discuss this with the technician.
