    Lance is back… kinda…

So Lance Armstrong is back in the professional peloton, kinda… Armstrong recently came out of retirement and has re-started his professional cycling career in an effort to spread cancer awareness around the world. He has participated in in four major races since his come back. lance-armstrong_1371262c

Fuji Aloha CF1 / SST Build

The Fuji Aloha CF1 is Fuji’s previous top end time trial and triathlon bike. It also doubles as the newly introduced SST road bike. Both bikes share the same geometry but interestingly enough have been marketed as both a time trial bike and a super aero road bike. The bikes are set with fairly common road bike geometry with a 73 degree head-tube and a 73.5 degree seat-tube angles. Both bikes can also accept Fuji’s carbon setforwad (yielding a 78degree seatube) seatpost. In other words a SST or CF-1 frameset can built up into just about any type of racing bike! The following is a custom build I created based off of a 2008 Fuji CF-1 frame-set size 56cm.

My most recent road bike build includes:
    -Reynolds Assault Carbon Wheels
-Zipp Carbon Cranks w/ American Classic BB
    -3T Stem and Bar
    -Sram Red: Shifters, Front Derailleur
    -Time RSX Ti Carbon Pedals
    -Vittoria Open Corsa CX Tires
    -Tioga Spyder Saddle
-Zero Gravity Red Devil Special Edition Negative G – road caliper brakes by Ciamillo

South Eastern Regional Championship SeriesSERC #1

Today Jake participated in SERC #1 – South Eastern Regional Championship Series at Haile’s Trails in Newberry, FL. Definitely could not have asked for a prettier day to hold such an event. Jake rode in the single speed class on his Surly 1×1.

    Cellon Creek Loop
This 4.5 mile loop, geared to intermediate riders, also starting at the bike trail head parking lot, winds east along the south side of Cellon Creek to a powerline, turns north across the creek and then dives back into the hammock and west along the north side of the creek. There are some small elevation changes that add to the experience. The trail comes out of the hammock along the northern boundary of the park and back along the fence line to the bathrooms and picnic pavilion.
